The problem
The existing WooCommerce store was slow, hard to maintain and limited in what could be customised.
What I built
- A custom storefront with 20+ routes and a 30-module admin panel for products, inventory, orders and the business.
- Razorpay and cash-on-delivery checkout.
- India GST invoicing, with CGST, SGST and IGST worked out per order.
- Order and inquiry updates by email (Brevo) and WhatsApp, and media handled by Cloudinary.
Moving without losing search rankings
I mapped the old WooCommerce URLs to the new ones with 301 redirects and added structured metadata, so the store kept the search rankings it had already earned.
Quality before handover
I reviewed 387 files against a production-readiness checklist and fixed 5 high-severity issues, including a payment-flow bug and an XSS vector. The written audit went to the client as the handover record.
After launch
I now maintain the live store and keep shipping fixes and features for the client.
